Accreditation

Young Gemynds School follows the curriculum of Calvert School which is internationally recognized among independent school .Courses are approved by the Maryland State Department of Education and the school is a member of the Educational Records Bureau and the National Association of Independent School.
The Home instruction Department is accredited both by the Commission on Elementary Schools, a division of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and the Commission on International and Transregional Accreditation (CITA). Calvert is the first home schooling curricula to receive CITA certification.
The Home Instruction Department has been in operation for over ninety years. The program for instructing students is approved by the Maryland State Department of Education, which issues verification letters upon request to its Nonpublic School Approval Branch, Baltimore, Maryland 21201-2595.
The Calvert Curriculum is currently used by over 17,000 children in all the fifty states of the US and in 126 other countries, including Mozambique.
